Upcoming Events at the Art Museum

Painter and UW alumnus Harold Garde's retrospective opens this Saturday.

On Saturday, a retrospective of UW alumnus Harold Garde will open at the UW Art Museum. The exhibition - Harold Garde. painting. 50 years. highlights prints and paintings by Garde, who was trained in Abstract Expressionism. Over forty works will be on view, exploring different themes, subjects, and symbols. The Art Museum is open on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.

A series of public programs are scheduled in conjunction with Garde's exhibition. Below is the complete schedule. All events are free and open to the public, with no sign up required. For more information, call the Art Museum at 307.766.6622.

The strappo demonstration is a 2 day event to allow for drying. Strappo is a printmaking technique developed by Garde. Attendees are encouraged to participate. This program will be held in the Art Museum's Shelton Studio. Supplies are provided.
