The Ann Simpson Artmobile is gearing up for its 32nd year on the road. The Artmobile is starting fresh in 2014 with a new curator, a new exhibit, and a new van!  Erica Ramsey, the new Artmobile Curator, is ready to share the new exhibition, What’s That? Investigating Abstract Art with people all over Wyoming.  The new exhibit features a variety of approaches to abstraction in an array of media including  serigraphs, etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, aquatints, a pen and ink drawing, and a gouache painting; all from the UW Art Museum’s permanent collection.  Rock River, Casper, Glendo, Chugwater, and Cheyenne have already reserved time with the Artmobile.  The Artmobile is a statewide program that offers interactive presentations about the current Artmobile exhibition, and hands-on art workshops where Artmobile programming is inquiry-based, tailored to meet the needs of its audience, and coordinated with the Wyoming educational standards in Visual and Media Art.

If you would like more information, or to schedule a visit, please contact Erica by phone at (307) 399-2941, or by e-mail at artmobile@uwyo.edu.
