Visitors to the University of Wyoming Art Museum can use their cell phones to hear artist Anne-Karin Furunes talk about her creative process and the subject matter of each of the displayed series within Anne-Karin Furunes: Portraits of Unknowns.

To create buzz about the exhibit’s opening, Furunes visited the gallery for a public lecture and walk-through, which helped students and other visitors make a mental connection between the audio tour and the artist.

“We’ve done 14 Guide by Cell tours
in the past, but this is one of our top two most attended,” said Rachel Miller, Assistant Curator at the UW Art Museum. “It’s a really cool feature, and people love that they can use their cell phones to hear directly from the artist!”

Dial (307) 200-0040 from any phone and follow the prompts to hear from Furunes.

Want to bring your audience closer to the artists? Get in touch and we’ll set you up with a pilot account for your own mobile audio tour.
