On March 6, 2009, the University of Wyoming Art Museum re-opens its galleries with a major, internationally touring exhibition called The Disappeared / Los Desaparecidos. Curated by Laurel Reuter, director and chief curator of the North Dakota Museum of Art, the exhibition presents the work of 26 Latin American artists who have incorporated their personal and cultural experiences of the "disappeared."
A series of public programs are being planned. Schedule to date includes:
